Room for Improvement: New Year's Resolutions Lead Masses to the Gyms

New York Sports Club. Tuesday. 4:00 P.M. I'm strutting my stuff down the aisle of treadmills only to find that they've all been taken. "Are you kidding me?" I think to myself. "It's 4 o'clock on a Tuesday!" One of the perks of being a teacher is getting out of work early and beating the rush hour gym crowd. So why have I been reduced to one of the bicycles in the front of the gym? Why can't I do my 40/40 routine? Where did that hot guy come from? Oh and that one....

Letter to the Editor

Dear Editor-in-Chief,

Different people have different opinions as to what the SBGradMag is suppose to be. Some people think it should be a journal, others a newspaper, and still others a personal narrative. While I personally think it should be a hybrid of all three styles, as President, I try to make the best decisions I can for all of us with what's available to me. It's not an easy job to do, as your decisions are likely to be contrary to the interests of some and you are inevitably going to make mistakes along the way. I sincerely apologize for any hardship this issue has posed to any of you, and please rest assured that the issue will be resolved amicably so that we can continue with the rest of this young academic year, and continue doing great work as graduate students at one of the best research universities.

Ryan Soule, President
